The mission of One Together Randolph is to “Make Space" for our community to come Together as ONE to PRAY, REMEMBER and CELEBRATE the ONE that unites us all!
unity
It was Jesus' prayer to the Father in John 17, "so that the world may believe that YOU sent me. The glory which you have given to me, I have given to them; so that they may be one, just as we are one." He knew we would need each other to see His Kingdom come and being united, despite our differences.
being > doing
The heart of One Together Prayer Room is to make space to "Be with Jesus". A place dedicated to vertical worship and prayer. We are a culture of “doers” and producers, but God made it clear to me early on that whatever time I have to offer in this space comes from the overflow. I know you give a lot, to your family, church, and community, we hope what ever time you dedicate to One Together be a delight not a duty.
praying God’s word
It as the primary way God speaks, inerrant and authoritative is something we all have in common. “The richness of the Word of God ought to determine our prayer, not the poverty of our heart.” ~ D. Bonhoeffer
trust
In Hebrew the word “faith” is most often translated as “trust”. God invites us to pray and intercede on the behalf of others. To come into agreement with His prayers, plans and purposes. We do what we can and trust Him with all the rest.
“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be ONE Father, just as you are in me, and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be ONE as we are ONE— I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.”
